3rd Pere Vallhonrat Short Story Contest

For the third consecutive year, the Vallhonrat Museum is organizing a project focused on writing and creativity, dedicated to 4th-grade primary school students from schools in Rubí.

On Monday, October 26, 2026, the awards ceremony for the 3rd Pere Vallhonrat Short Story Contest will be held at the Regina Carmeli school auditorium. This year, 4th-grade students from the Regina Carmeli school participated, resulting in 3 winners and 4 finalists. The selection of the winners and finalists was determined by a jury consisting of illustrator Elena Boixader, writer and Rubí City Council employee Nuria Julià, and museum director Anna Vallhonrat. The prizes will include keepsakes, puzzles, and diplomas for each of them, as well as several storybooks from the collection.

Free event. It will be repeated in 2027 if schools sign up.

IN SEARCH OF TREASURE. AN ADVENTURE IN THE MUSEUM.

Every February, the Vallhonrat Museum fills with mystery, excitement, and fun through the game “In Search of the Treasure”—a special activity that invites participants to uncover secrets in a unique way.

Using clues, riddles, and small challenges, participants must explore the galleries, observe closely, and put their wits to the test to locate the hidden treasure. It is an experience that blends culture, learning, and play, transforming a museum visit into a true adventure.

This activity was created with the goal of becoming a highly anticipated event for both children and adults, offering a fresh way to explore the museum, share moments with family or friends, and enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience.

Sandra Bea at the Vallhonrat Museum

The Sant Galderic celebration takes place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, and we will be joined by artist and educator Sandra Bea. We will begin at 10:45 AM with a guided tour, viewing various objects displayed across different rooms; we will reflect on how they have evolved—noting that many no longer exist—and enrich the experience by hearing from those who used them during their childhood. Afterward, Sandra Bea will lead an art workshop that is sure to surprise us. The event will run until 1:00 PM or 1:30 PM. Admission is free. Location: Plaça Montserrat Roig, Rubí.

Let’s talk about Japan.
