The Rubinencs Studies Center (CER) will present this conference next Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 6 p.m., given by Manel Soler, an expert on this topic.
The Civil War in Rubí was part of the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), a conflict that engulfed the entire Spanish territory. The city was affected by the war context, as evidenced by documents from the time.
The military uprising of July 18, 1936, led by General Francisco Franco and other militants, marked the beginning of a civil war that lasted nearly three years between the insolent side and the loyal side to the government of the Republic. The Francoist side, more militarized and with help from Germany and Italy, was advancing through the territory loyal to the Republic.
Location: Vallhonrat Auditorium Plaça Montserrat Roig, s/n Rubí. Free.
