Original Drawings by TBO (1917-1960). This exhibition was inaugurated in November 2003, at the Castell-Ecomuseu Urbà de Rubí, with the presence of the mayor, Mrs. Carme García, and Moisés Rodríguez, Councilor for Culture. The curator of the exhibition was Lluís Giralt.
From November 29, 2007 to January 31, 2008, the exhibition The Great Inventions of TBO. Original Drawings (1922-1961) was presented at the Castell-Ecomuseu Urbà de Rubí. As an exceptional element, you will find, in addition to the drawings, a real TBO Invention, made especially for this exhibition, with all the details and ingenuity of those that were conceived in those years.
The exhibition held at the Castell-Ecomuseu Urbà, where a round table took place with the participation of figures linked to the world of illustration. The moderators were Pere Vallhonrat, director of the Vallhonrat Ethnographic Museum and Lluís Giralt, curator of the exhibition, and the illustrator Pilarín Bayés.
To document the exhibition, a limited edition, numbered catalogue was published of the pieces exhibited and many others, with a very important and previously unpublished study on the subject, which experts will surely appreciate and use as a reference bibliography, and the rest of the public will be able to enjoy its extensive graphic work and curious documentation. This catalogue will be a gift for those attending the inauguration.
In December 2005, the second exhibition of original drawings by TBO (1930-1980) was presented, with the collaboration of the Caixa de Manresa and with the assistance of Anna M. Martínez (Councilor for Personal Services) and Moisès Rodríguez (Councilor for Culture), Teresa Blanch (director of the Urban Castle-Ecomuseu of the Rubí City Council) and the cartoonists Muntañola, Nadal and Blanco, who signed dedications to the people who requested it.
