The museum turned into a diorama

From December 18, 2022 to January 15, 2023, a nativity scene dedicated to the museum for its 60th anniversary and in memory of Pere Vallhonrat will be on display at the Rubí Cultural Classroom. It is a work created by Josep Comelles, a member of the Rubí Nativity Scene Association. It features the characteristic porch, fountain and water tower, which are the elements that house the diorama dedicated to the Adoration, one of the oldest scenes in the artistic world and one of the most elaborated by nativity scene artisans, as it includes the main characters of these festivities. Opening hours: Monday to Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Sundays and holidays from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Location: Rubí cultural classroom (in front of the station).

60 years of the Vallhonrat Museum Foundation

The Mestre Martí Tauler Municipal Library has wanted to join in the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Vallhonrat Museum Foundation by dedicating the 28th Book Stitch Contest, aimed at children and young people aged 5 to 16. The works can be presented from April 4 to May 21, 2022 at the facility located on Aribau Street.

The Book Points Contest is structured into four categories depending on the age of the participants: 5 to 7 years old (category A), 8 to 9 years old (category B), 10 to 13 years old (category C) and 14 to 16 years old (category D).

The award ceremony will take place on June 14, 2022 at the Mestre Martí Tauler Municipal Library.

The bookmarks must be inspired by the heritage and natural elements that can be found on the outside of the Vallhonrat Ethnographic Museum: a garden with a water tower, a washhouse, typical Mediterranean fruit trees, a porch, a fountain with fish and the house-museum.
