Educational material for schoolchildren

Introduction of educational worksheets for preschool, primary and secondary schools.

They are a learning tool (created by Núria Julià) that, together with the guided tour of the different rooms of the Vallhonrat Ethnographic Museum, aims to help students learn about a fundamental part of the history of society in a simple and fun way, transferring to students, questions, individual and group activities, concepts that they have been able to see, know and learn during the visit, in a space outside the classroom in a visit that undoubtedly promises to be profitable.

The educational sheets have been prepared taking into account the contents of the different rooms in the Vallhonrat Ethnographic Museum, trying to ensure that certain objects on display take center stage and serve to learn new educational content, so that students can show their capacity for autonomy, cooperation, collaboration and consolidation of explanations with total naturalness and cohesion with the school group.

Cross of Saint George at the Vallhonrat Ethnographic Museum

Request for the Cross of Sant Jordi from the Generalitat of Catalonia, to the Vallhonrat Museum on the 55th anniversary of its foundation, on the initiative and with the support of the Center for Rubin Studies and the Group of Collaborators of the Rubí Museum.

The Rubin Studies Center and the Rubí Museum Collaborators Group, with the approval of the Plenary Session of the Rubí City Council in the March 2015 session, have approved and support the award of the Creu de Sant Jordi from the Generalitat de Catalunya to the Vallhonrat Ethnographic Museum of Rubí, coinciding with the celebration of the 55th anniversary of its foundation.

The Vallhonrat Ethnographic Museum of Rubí, in more than half a century of continuous growth since its foundation, has become an outstanding reference in initial collecting until becoming the renowned Vallhonrat Museum today, located in an emblematic architectural setting, which also houses the Bibliospai with more than 3,000 books dating back to the 18th century and an Auditorium, as a cultural and exhibition center in Rubí.

That collection, which was modestly born more than fifty years ago, is today a source of pride for the citizens of Rubí and a meeting point and cultural reference for research, documentation, promotion and dissemination activities of art and culture at a local and regional level.
