The weapons room displays one of the most relevant collections of the Museum. Many of the weapons on display have been part of the great battles that have shaken the last centuries. But we should not see this room as a war exhibit, but as a reference for our history, documents that provide information and facilitate the understanding of events. The weapons used in the Carlist wars are exhibited, the rifles that went to Cuba or the Philippines, or that were protagonists in the Battle of the Ebro.

A very important aspect is the evolution of the design, noting that the first pieces were heavy and not very transportable and over the years the technique has improved and lighter pieces have been manufactured, adapting the shape to the functionality.

There are authentic pieces of craftsmanship such as: the wheel pistol manufactured in Germany in the 16th century or the three extraordinary pistols from Ripoll created by the gunsmiths Angelats in 1780 and Eudald in 1798. They are unique pieces that go beyond firearms and transfer to trades where the care and precision of the work elevated the pieces to works of art. The long tradition of blunderbusses in Catalonia is still present in some towns and in the Museum we see some collections of blunderbusses as a cultural fact of the traditional festivals of the Catalan people.

The room is decorated with replicas of medieval armor, but the most important of all is an original piece from the Japanese army from the 16th-17th centuries.
