The Vallhonrat Ethnographic Museum<\/strong> in Rub\u00ed began in the middle of the last century when Miquel Vallhonrat i Brau entered the world of collecting, initially with pieces from the family from the early 18th century, and then he received contributions from clients and the people of Rub\u00ed; then he himself would go looking for the pieces, with the passion for collecting and classifying everything that had something endearing to him.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

You only have to open the cellar door to be fascinated by the scent of the twenty chestnut and oak barrels that formed part of the Masia Vallhonrat cellar. We can observe the transformation of grapes into wine, from the sluice gates to the crusher, to the buckets and the barrels. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In this room we find a great variety of furniture that decorated the noble houses of the towns. We are faced with a diverse but very detailed collection that represents the beginnings of Catalan furniture. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Archaeological Room<\/a><\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

It is the room that houses the most pieces in the museum, there are about a thousand of them and all of them come from very different origins and periods. Each of the display cases deals with a different theme. At the entrance we have the section of objects for domestic use, such as coffee grinders, irons, oil lamps or small bronze sculptures that were used to decorate the corners of the houses. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

He was born in Maella (Zaragoza) on June 11, 1921. His parents, when he was two years old, moved to Barcelona, \u200b\u200bwhere he died on April 14, 1998.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
