The Vallhonrat Museum in Rubí is a testament to the history of objects that describe the customs and traditions of a people. The objects come from various origins but almost all of them have been present in Catalan homes. It houses a large number of pieces that are very familiar and that over time have become a cultural reference. Objects that speak for themselves and do not require a text to read the information. They themselves are history.

The room presents us in a didactic way, the evolution of electrical appliances: the radio, the telephone, the first camera, flashlights. Material manufactured in Rubí, such as BJC switches, the bells of the old TIMESA, the first AEG meters and there are also other objects worthy of admiration such as the varied shapes of siphon bottles or jars. And not only do household appliances show us the habits of life, we also find the fauna that inhabits the municipality although unfortunately, some of them have already disappeared.

If we go to the drawers there is a magnificent and extensive collection of originals from the most illustrious cartoonists in comics. We find everything from the inventions of the TBO d’Opisso, to the edition of the first Tintin in Catalan. There are also complete collections of chocolate bar stickers, Rubí postcards, buttons, stories, weeklies and comics since 1888; coins and Rubí film programs.
